Myofascial Release
The direct myofascial release method works through engaging the myofascial tissue restrictive barrier. Therapists use knuckles, elbows and other tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia by applying constant force until release occurs. Direct myofascial release seeks changes in the tissue structures by stretching, elongation, or mobilizing the tissues. The therapist moves slowly through the layers of the tissue until the deep tissues are reached.
